Prostate Cancer UK, Marie Curie, the three Armed Forces charities, and Care Radio will all share in the profits from the race. The race was won by Peretto, ridden by Oisin Murphy, at 18/1 odds. Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) members including Flutter Entertainment, Bet365, Entain, William Hill, and more agreed to donate the profits as part of a fundraising initiative.

The BGC chief executive, Michael Dugher, expressed his excitement about the amount raised by this initiative at Royal Ascot. He mentioned that the money will significantly impact the incredible work done by the charities involved. Michael Dugher also thanked all the BGC members and their customers who participated in the race for their generous support towards great causes.

The Britiannia Stakes event is the latest fundraising effort by BGC members, who previously helped the British Greyhound Racing Fund raise £1m this year. Susan Boissier, the head of special events at Marie Curie, expressed gratitude towards the Betting and Gaming Council members for their incredible donation. She mentioned that this donation enables them to provide support services for people across the UK through their frontline nursing and hospice care. Susan also noted that their fundraising has been impacted by the coronavirus and initiatives like this help improve end-of-life experiences for everyone.
