The two businesses collaborated to create avatars for Kindred customers. They expanded on this partnership by developing unique LGBTQ+ avatars for Kindred customers, featuring Pride flags. These new avatar options allow customers to present themselves online in a way that blends with the existing options. Gavin Hayward, Kindred’s chief human resources officer, emphasized the importance of these adjustments and inclusion for minority-identifying individuals. He stated that Kindred is proud to be part of this movement towards a more diverse and inclusive company. Katharine Arnsby, a member of Kindred’s LGBTQ+ Network, expressed excitement about working for a company that is open to suggestions like this. She noted the significant progress made in acknowledging and including the LGBTQ+ community in mainstream spaces.
